About David Talcott:
(updated August 2005)
Background:
I was born and raised in San Clemente, California,
but moved away from my beloved hometown in 1999 order to attend
Hillsdale College. I received a BA in philosophy from Hillsdale
in 2003 and since then have been at Indiana University, where
I am pursuing a Ph.D. in philosophy. In college, I met a beautiful
young woman named Anna who is now my wife. We have one child,
Carver, age 2, and our second, Eleanor, on the way. Currently,
we are attending Church
of the Good Shepherd in Bloomington, Indiana..
The Evangel Society:
The Evangel Society was born out of a shared conviction that the
message of the Gospel powerfully transforms every area of our
thought. It aims to analyze areas where the church has compromised
its thinking and to call her back to Biblical truth. Every generation
faces temptations and challenges; we hope to help our younger
generation free itself from some of the pitfalls into which we've
fallen.
Of Interest:
I love to read theology, play guitar (rock
only, other styles need not apply. I have an '82 Fender Strat
with a Cherry Sunburst finish and a Martin SPD-16R), spend time
with my family, and play with my son. Once upon a time I played
competitive volleyball (2 yrs. Varsity in high school, 5 years
club experience), but recently have been wandering in volleyball
exile in the midwest.
